this book is about a boy called Paul Lelaud living in France,1944 during world war two. Paul lives in a small town called Chinon that was invaded in 1941. During this event Paul's dad was killed trying to defend France. From then on Paul has hated the Germans for what they did. So when Paul tuns fourteen and leaves school, not knowing what sort of job he was going to do he was quickly sucked in to joining the resistance and looking for a way to get revenge on the Germans.
